United WKND is an event for middle and high school students which takes place at Lakewood Baptist Church from February 28 – March 2. We will gather with students from other churches in the area to worship the Lord together and grow deeper in community with one another. This year at United WKND our speaker is Shaq Hardy and worship will be led by SoulSound. Registration includes admission for 3 worship services, 3 small groups, a student book, a t-shirt, and 3 meals (pizza dinner on Friday, Chick-fil-A lunch on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday).

COST: Registration begins January 1 – Early Bird rate is $65 from Jan 1 – Jan 29 then the price increases to $80 until registration closes on February 12.

 

THEME: Who are you? We live in a time when it is easy to feel alone even when you are around so many other people. In a world saturated with “social” media, we are more isolated and distant from each other than ever before. But this is not how we were meant to live. We were made for community: a connection with other people, in the name of Jesus Christ, that unites us and gives us purpose. At United WKND we will spend time looking at how we can make the most of our fellowship in Christ, for it is in such a community – the Church – that we can experience a sense of belonging, fulfillment, and purpose that is bigger than ourselves.
